Ryo Naito falls in 13th place – HKD 31,700

Jack En-Ching Wu is back up to 800k after sending Ryo Naito packing up in 13th place. Naito was all in with A-J and faced Wu-s 7-7. The board ran out 10-9-7-6-2. Naito earned HKD 31,700 for his deep finish.


Kunal Patni gets full pay from leader Jack Wu

Level: 20 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 1000

Another big pair over pair went down in table 2. Kunal Patni raised to 20k from the utg seat, Wu shoved on the big blind with his monstrous stack. Patni snap-called.

The board ran dry for Wu 5 9 8 6 4 and Patni shipped in a double up. He now has 327k which is above average stack. Despite the loss, Wu still leads with 630k in chips.


Yang Zhang stopped at 14th place – HKD 31,700

Yang Zhang ended his Main Event run in 14th place after his A K ran right into Anson Wong Fuk On’s A A. He earned HKD 31,700 for his finish. Wong now second in command with around 500k.


Kwok Luen Hei doubles up twice

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 1000

The shortest stack at the final 14 players is Kwok Luen Hei but he is staying strong out there, earning two double ups. His first pot was A 9 besting J 9, then several hands later, his 9 9 dodged Ryo Naito’s A J overcards. He now has 110k. Average stack is 280k.


Kosei Ichinose gets a boost from Austin Walton

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 1000

Kosei Ichinose moved all in with his remaining 53k stack and was up against Austin Walton with one of the biggest stacks at his table.

The board ran 9 J J 4 4 for a dominating full house and a double to the Japanese pro.


Shiquiang Lin falls in 15th place to Edward Yam Chun Ho – HKD 31,700

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 1000

Edward Yam Chun Ho has just made it back in the average range of 280k after winning a double up through Lim Shyh Chyn then booting out Shiquiang Lin.

Yam’s double up was Q Q ahead of Lim’s J J; then up against Lin, Yam had 4-4 on the small blind, Lin with 3-3 on the big blind. No hits nor help came for Lin and he was out in 15th place. He earned HKD 31,700 for his finish.


Wim Bos exits in 16th place – HKD 27,900

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 1000

Players are falling quickly here with big hands turning up. For this next elimination, Lim Shyh Chyn raised to 16k, Michael Soyza three-bet to 42k, Wim Bos moved all in, Lim followed, and Soyza opted to get out of the way.

The board offered no gems to Bos and he earned HKD 27,900 for his 16th place finish.


Andrew An takes 17th place – HKD 27,900

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000-6000 Ante: 1000

Andrew An made his second bullet count going all the way to the money round. He finished his run at 17th place with Anson Wong Fuk On shipping in his chips. An had A-Q suited that did not improve against Wong’s A-K.

Andrew An earned HKD 27,900 for his deep run at the Main Event.


Kunal Patni cracks aces to stay in the running

Kunal Patni was the next all in player and turned over his J J. A hush of dismay was heard when he saw Edward Yam Chun Ho’s A A. The board however had other plans as it ran Q J Q 5 2 for a winning full house to Patni.

He now has around 210k while Yam fell to 95k.
