Marc Rivera calls down Ivert for the pot

With action folding all the way to the blinds, Marc Rivera limps in from the small blind and Annica Ivert on the big blind checks. At the flop of Q Q 8, Rivera checks, Ivert bet 3000, and Rivera called. At the turn of A, both players checked. Then on the river of 10, Rivera checked once more, Ivert bet 5500, Rivera called, and Ivert quickly mucked giving Rivera the pot without a showdown of cards.


Johnson Tan rails David Erquiaga

Another short stack was denied a double up, this time it was David Erquiaga whose chips were down to just over 20K. In a hand raised by Johnson Tan to 6K, Erquiaga shoved, then was tank-called by Tan.

Razavi denies Sim a double up

Needing to double up, Sebastian Sim shoved with his remaining 20K chips and was called by the big blind defender, Samad Razavi. Sim had A 4, Razavi had K 8, and with the board running K 3 10 5 Q, Sim busted out.


Takayama doubles up Mascunana

Level: 14 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 300

Mike Takayama and Jay-R Mascunana faced off with an all in preflop situation. Mascunana had A 8 and Takayama had 9 9. With the board running 4 5 2 3 9, Mascunana landed a straight and doubled up to around 62K chips.


Luke Pangan over 200K

Level: 14 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 300

Luke Pangan just scalped two players with his K K winning against A 10 and A Q. Pangan now has around 220K chips.


Annica Ivert makes Gavin Smith pay for her flush

As one of the few remaining ladies at the Main Event, Annica Ivert called a raise of 4500 by Marc Rivera, and Gavin Smith followed right behind her. At the flop of 3 A Q, Rivera checked, Ivert bet 8000, Smith called, and Rivera opted to resign from the hand. At the turn of 7, Ivert continued to pump up the pot and banged out 9000 which Smith again smooth-called. Then at the river of 10, Ivert laid out 19K big ones and Smith made the call. Ivert won the pot with her 9 8 flush. Smith mucked.
