Main Event 5th place finisher Yuwen Pan didn’t run as well. He fell at the hands of Terry Tien Thanh Nguyen. Pan pushed (68.5k) with K 9, sb Terry called with A K, the board ran K 2 3 4 8. Terry up to 610k.


Jonikas Tautvydas crushes Mateo

Level: 14 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 4000

Hard fall for Christopher Mateo to Jonikas Tautvydas. The hand opened with Mateo raising to 10k, Tautvydas three-bet to 30k, called by Mateo. On the flop 10 Q 3, Mateo checked, Tautvydas c-bet 23k, Mateo raised to 60k, called by Tautvydas. On the turn Q, Mateo moved all in, snap-called by Tautvydas.

The river Q sent a shockwave through the table with Tautvydas landing one of his 7-outs for a crushing quads victory. Mateo busted, Tautvydas zoomed to 450k.


Terry Nguyen shaves down Mateo

Three players in on a raised pot of 36k with the flop showing A J 2. Bb Terry Tien Thanh Nguyen checked, Nguyen Quang Minh (Mr Ngo) checked, Christopher Mateo bet 15.5k. Terry called, Mr Ngo folded. On the turn 4, Mateo banged out 27.5k, Terry check-called again. On the 8 river, check by Terry, Mateo slid out 165k, Terry used one time bank then called. Terry showed 9 7 flush, Mateo mucked. Terry up to 540k, Mateo down to 200k.


Peng Yang shows Munsaf the bluff

A very big pot was just claimed by Peng Yang against Meherzad Munsaf. It opened with Munsaf raising to 8k from cutoff. Sb Peng three-bet to 22k, Munsaf called. On the flop K 2 6, Peng c-bet for 16.5k and was called. On the turn 9, Peng fired 85k, Munsaf called. On the river 6, Peng shoved (297k) covering Munsaf who tanked using his last two time-banks. When Munsaf folded, Peng immediately showed the bluff A 3 and scooped up the huge pot. He now sits with 545k. Munsaf dropped to 255k just slightly over average.


Higher set for Xiao Yucheng busts Kim Dongkyu

Level: 13 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 3000

Kim Dongkyu fell out of the running in a hand he hoped had the players trapped. From mid position he limped, beside him Xiao Yucheng raised to 13k, called by lp Nguyen Quang Minh, then back to Kim, who called. On the flop 2 3 7, action was checked to Nguyen, he bet 18k, called by Kim and Xiao. On the turn 10, no bets landed. The river Q, Kim moved all in for 52k, Xiao called, Nguyen folded.

Set over set, Xiao shipped it while Kim shook his head in disbelief then packed up.


Andres Korn with higher pockets against Duong

Andres Korn bumped up his stack to 280k in a hand against Harry Duong. Action opened with utg+1 Lu Zheng Hao raising to 7k, called by cutoff Andres Korn. On the big blind, Harry Duong looked down at J J and three-bet to 24.5k, Zhao tank-folded using 1 time bank, Korn flat-called. On the flop 7 K 7, Duong c-bet 23k, called by Korn. On the turn 10, it switched up. Korn bet 17k, check-called by Duong. The river 4 both checked. Korn opened Q Q for higher pockets. He won the pot to rise to 280k. Duong dipped to 260k.


Nguyen Van Viet rails Go Mori

Level: 13 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 3000

Nguyen Van Viet raised, beside him Go Mori shoved, snap-called by Nguyen. Mori busted with A Q failing to improve against Nguyen’s A K.


Choi Eng Loong at 300k

Level: 13 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 3000

Utg Sam Beesley raised to 7500, +1 Li Shuo shoved 37.5k, cutoff Choi Eng Loong four-bet to 80k, Beesley tank-folded saying he had A Q. At the showdown, Choi A K, Shuo A Q, though not needed a king came on the river. Choi shipped it to rise to 300k.


Tautvydas Jonikas rails Le Ngoc Khanh

Vietnamese pro Le Ngoc Khanh sent it all out front with Q 10 in the hole, but Tautvydas Jonikas had better A[qc}. Khanh was dominated throughout to get the boot.
