Lim Dae Hoon Seizes the First Event of the Series; Kunal Shetty Wins the Charity Event

After 9 hours of play, Korean player Lim Dae Hoon bagged Event 1: NLH Re-Buys + 1 Add-On by eliminating Frenchman Arnaud Yvon Messager in a heads up match that lasted a swift two hands. Hoon took home a healthy P202,000 and the first trophy of the series.

While later in the day, Kunal Shetty took down the Ante Up for Charity tournament – earning himself a P92,000 first prize purse plus the second trophy of the day. We are happy to note that the charity event exceeded its previous numbers with 46 entries, generating a P115,000 donation for the Rotary Club of Makati North’s Feed a Child, Build A Nation program.

In addition to the day’s excitement, the very first “One Time” lucky winner was Sam Razavi who won himself a seat to the Main Event. Other players who won seats to the Main Event via satellites were Dhanesh Chainani, Kim Maibo, Edward Artero, Teofisto Prado Pelayo, Michel Philippe Ghanem, Choi Kwangyeop and Liow Ming Kee.

We return later for a full day of poker action at the tables starting at 1pm for Event 3: Mix Game PLH/PLO, followed by Event 4: High Rollers at 2pm, then our newest addition Event 5: Open Face Chinese Pineapple 60 Max at 3pm.
