Today we enter Day 2 of the CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT. 84 players advanced from the combined starting days. Alike the main, the 8M guarantee was totally dusted with 154 entries driving the prizepool in the vicinity of PHP 11M. We will likely see that grow with registration open one final hour today. So if you want to be the next APT champion, get off the rail and jump in! This is your last chance to be part of the action. Buy-in is PHP 82,500.
Day 2 opens at Level 9 with blinds 600 – 1200 ante 1200. Average stack is 91,666 with 7,700,000 chips in play. The official prize pool will be posted at the close of registration.
Day 1A chip leader Lim Yo Hwan will herald in the pack with the largest stack of 219,400. Day 1B chip leader, Jun Yi Ong, earned second position with 203,000.
Many notable players color the Day 2 lineup. Two players we will be keeping a very close watch on are two-time APT champions Iori Yogo and Lester Edoc. Edoc will once again attempt to capture the title he was denied by Yogo back in April while Yogo seeks a back-to-back. Edoc is currently ranked 5th in chips with 188,800, Yogo is wedged in the middle with 103,600.
