Additionally, CoinPoker Super High Rollers champion / APT MAIN EVENT champion, Lester Edoc, won the “Last Man Standing” promo.
Michael Kim Falcon wins the CoinPoker High Rollers
Everyone either knows or has encountered Michael Kim Falcon at the felt. The APT regular has been frequenting the circuit for several years with success in various events. Last night, the hard-hitting Dane won the CoinPoker High Rollers event, capturing his fourth-ever APT High Rollers title.
The event ran for two days with 36 players in attendance for a prize pool of PHP 3,492,000. Falcon bagged up the largest stack of the first day with 10 players remaining. At the final day, Falcon continued to dominate while several big shots dropped out before the money: Alex Lee, Marc Rivera, Mike Takayama, and Yin Zhang.
First to collect was Takeshi Kishi (6th) followed by Wilson Lim (5th). This led to a grueling four-handed battle that saw Falcon’s chips swing wildly that at one point, he was in danger of elimination. He turned it around and railed John Tech with J♥ 10♥ getting lucky against A♣ 4♣ on a running board J♣ 5♣ K♥ A♦ J♦.
At three-handed, Gabriel Carter and Falcon battled for the chip lead while Yusuke Okada slowly but surely climbed out of short stack to overtake the two. When Carter landed a big double up against Okada with Q♥ J♥ over A♠ 2♣ on a board of 8♦ 10♥ Q♠ 7♣ 7♥, he charged to the top and shortly after eliminated Okada.
Heads up was immediate fireworks with Falcon doubling up. His 4♥ 4♣ stayed ahead of Carter’s 3♦ 3♥. Two hands later, it was all over. Falcon defeated Carter with 3♦ 3♥ over K♥ 8♠ on a dry board.

Lim Yohwan wins first-ever Shot Clock event
The APT introduced the Shot Clock for the first time last night at the CoinPoker High Rollers Single Day event. Players were given 3 Time Bank chips worth 60 seconds each and an additional two TB chips for the final 8 players.
The event attracted 24 players for a prize pool of PHP 2,328,000. Lim Yohwan overcame a deficit at heads up against Ceesvin Abraham to capture the win and the PHP 1,127,200 first prize.
This event only paid out 4 players. Prior to the money round, big-stacked Abraham and big-stacked Konstantin Pogodin banged heads with the former shipping it all in with 8-8 over 3-3. Abraham held on to his enormous stack, amassing over 70% of the chips in play by bouncing out Marc Rivera in 4th place. Gavin Flynn took 3rd, eliminated by Yohwan, to bring about heads up. Abraham was ahead 3:1.

After several hands between them, Yohwan successfully grinded down the big stack until he slid into the leader’s seat. The scales tipped further to his favor after scooping in a massive pot in this hand. On a full board 8♥ K♠ J♥ 6♣ 3♣ with progressive bets fired by Abraham, Yohwan called a very big river bet and won it with Abraham mucking without a showdown.

Main Event champions Lester Edoc wins CoinPoker Last Man Standing promo
During the MAIN EVENT, players that participated in CoinPoker’s Last Man Standing promo stood to win a seat to the upcoming APT Main Event in Ho Chi Minh next month. All they had to do was wear the CoinPoker patch throughout the event and whoever survived the longest would win the seat. Not only did Lester Edoc win the promo, he also won the Main Event for back to back APT Philippines championship titles and the CoinPoker Super High Rollers at the start of the series.
