Two more side events were on tap on Friday in the continuing poker action of the APT Philippines 2014 at the Resorts World Manila.
The DafaBet Head Hunter event with $300 buy-in started at 1:00 p.m. on Friday and as usual the poker enthusiasts came in droves to play. Also scheduled the same day was the Ladies of Poker event with a $170 buy-in at 6:00 p.m.
225 runners entered the bounty-flavored tournament establishing the highest-ever attended side event in APT history. The new number broke the previous record set in the APT Asian Series Cebu 2014 last February when 222 players joined the MegaSportsWorld Deep Stack Turbo side event.
As the players took the felt during the middle of the third day of the poker festivities, the newest APT champions were awarded their trophies for the pair of side events held on Thursday.
Victorino Torres (USA) and Mike Takayama (Philippines) were honored on stage for winning the High Rollers and Mix Game events, respectively on Thursday. The former has the biggest haul of this APT stop so far winning $31,900 for his high-stakes victory while the latter won $5,190 for his efforts.
