APT Vietnam Ho Chi final day: 71 in HR, 58 make Monster Stack Day 2; 2 more events slated

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – After local bet Tran Tuan Anh took down the APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh 2022 Main Event in unique fashion last night, action still continues on the last day of competition with the 2-Day High-Rollers (Event #17) amassing 71 entries of VND50M (US$2,150.00) and the Monster Stack (Event #18) drawing 214 entries in two Flights and now down to 58 players at the Saigon Poker Club here.
 
Thailand resident Kirill Tarasov of Moscow, Russia (more known as Dr. Holland) had the overnight chip-lead in the Monster Stack with 285,000 now leads the remaining players in the hunt for the VND491,360,000.00 (US$21,128.00) top prize.
 
The Bubble has just been breached and Nguyen Quoc Cuong of Vietman is the last out before ITM as now the top 36 will be guaranteed VND17,150,000.00 (US$752.00) in this VND11M (US$473.00) buy-in competition.
 
The last two events on the menu here are Event #19—the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo (which has just begun)—and the last of the Single-Day High-Rollers (Event #20) takes place at 3:00PM (UCT+7).
