The APT Philippines 2017 scheduled to take place at Resorts World Manila from July 19th-27th has been moved to the Winford Hotel and Casino. With this announced change, the APT Main Event will drop to a USD 2,200 buy-in, adjusted down from the originally advertised USD 3,300 buy-in.
Since 2010, the Asian Poker Tour and Resorts World Manila have had a long-standing partnership that has produced fun filled high caliber events with record numbers. For the first time, the APT will be bringing the APT Philippines to the Winford, and it will be considered the first international poker event to be held at the venue.
For those unfamiliar with the Winford, this highly luxurious establishment officially opened two months ago in the Greater Chinatown area of Metro Manila. The venue exudes of excellence, from the design and architecture down to the high standard of service and amenities. This is also where the recently opened APT Poker Room Manila is situated.
This latest change however does not affect the previously announced APT Philippines 2017 II. The event is confirmed to take place at RWM on September 13th-21st, for its eighth consecutive year. Through the years, the APT has staged a total of 19 events at RWM which includes its latest major event of the year, the APT Championships Philippines held last April.
More information will be posted soon in the APT website.
