The APT Championships Philippines 2017 is on its penultimate day at Resorts World Manila with the APT Championships now entering Day 3 with 35 players in contention. Only 27 players seeing the money, that means eight players will fall empty handed. Today will play down to the Final 8 players. Cards will be in the air at 1pm.
The APT Championships drew in a total of 189 entries for a prize pool of USD 366,660. Payouts begin at USD 4,030 with the eventual winner shipping in the lion share of USD 91,670.
Entering the day with the largest stack is Korea’s Kim Gab Yong with a monstrous 1,082,000 in chips. Though nowhere near the leader, entering with the second largest stack is Vietnam’s Tien Quyet Pham with 631,000 followed by Malaysia’s Ying Lin Chua with 539,000.

Japan’s Yukihiro Kuroda wins the MSW Deep Stack Turbo
Last night, the MegaSportsWorld Deep Stack Turbo attracted a field of 104 entries with 18 players getting a piece of the USD 15,130 prize pool. Japanese player Yukihiro Kuroda came out on top after defeating USA’s Paul Tausen Cha for the title. Kuroda earned the USD 3,860 first place purse and the event trophy.

Side Events Today
While the APT Championships is running, several side events will also be taking place. The No Limit Hold’em 2 event saw 137 entries with the Final 8 resuming at 1pm today. The event will be broadcasted live on the APT Twitch channel and the APT YoutTube channel with a 30 minute delay.
At 3pm is the Monster Stack event with a USD 550 entry fee. Players start with a 30,000 stack (600x the starting big blind). Blind levels increase every 30 minutes. Then at 6pm, another fast paced event hits the floor, the Queen Playing Cards Deep Stack Turbo. Buy-in is USD 165,
