In a few hours, the Resorts World Manila Genting Club will open its doors to the Asian Poker Tour Philippines 2012. With a sold out Heads Up opening event, things are looking very exciting as a lot of players have come in early to join the festivities.
Adding fuel to the already very hot summer in the Philippines is the much talked about Manila Millions Super High Rollers Event which looks to be the biggest tournament ever in Asia to be held on April 20th at 3:00 PM . In addition to the HK$ 1 Million buy in, part of the field are international superstars from the world of poker like Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan and Joe Hachem together with the familiar faces of poker in Asia – Elton Tsang, Anson Tsang and Devan Tang. Also joining them are Tom hall and Chris Parker. While Johnny Chan, Nam Le, JC Tran and John Juanda have expressed their interest in joining them on the felt.
Another first by the APT is the addition of the NLH – PLO Mix Game. It will be held also on April 20th at 2:00 PM and features a buy in of US$ 270.
With an action filled schedule of events – 6 satellites and 13 Side Events, the APT Philippines 2012 definitely looks to set the Asian poker scene on fire for the next seven days.
