PASAY CITY, Philippines – WSOP Bracelet winner Mike Takayama of the Philippines leads the cast of those buying-in for the last bus to take part in the Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Philippines Championship event as Day 2 has commenced here at the Grand Wing Casino, Newport World Resorts.
Opting not to see action in the two Day 1s, Takayama–running second in the Philippine all-time moneylist–is in a loaded Table 15 which includes the likes of Main Event winner Hernan Villa, the man Villa busted out with 930 Bonifacio Mondalo–who is still smarting about that call the had him finishing in 8th despite having Pocket Kings–local pro Eman Segismundo and Hong Kong’s Ray Chiu; making for a colorful set of characters.
Dave “Spade” Erquiaga, who is currently leading the Player of the Series race, is at nearby Table 13. He had busted late in Day 1B and is firing his last bullet. A cash here will solidify that feting.
Royly “Chipblaze” Oracion, who took down his first career APT title by winning the POPL Head-Hunter event in this series, has also just arrived after playing in several Side Events prior to today.
