During the final hands of scheduled play, Vietnamese pro / High Rollers Single Day champion Quang Nguyen knocked out two players simultaneously to end the heat as chip leader. Nguyen bagged up 255,800 which is equivalent to five starting stacks. The qualifiers have a day break before they return to action on Day 2, which takes place on Friday, June 17 starting at 12 noon.

Among the players also qualifying via this heat were APT decorated Vietnamese pros Huu Dung Nguyen and Huy Pham. Nguyen championed this same event back in 2017 at APT Championships Philippines and Pham won the 2014 APT-RWM Poker Finale Main Event. Another player needing mention is Nguyen Van Trung who placed 3rd at the festival’s Main Event.
With one starting day done, Day 1B is up next. This is the last entry day scheduled. Cards in the air at 12 noon.
