From 540 total entries to 144 players, we are now down to the final 18 led by Boonil Koo with 2,581,000 in chips. Last month, Koo placed 5th at the series No Limit Hold’em High Roller for KR₩ 3,360,000 (~US$ 2,938). He is on his way to earning much more including the APT Main Event Trophy and APT Championship Ring should he take it to the limit.
The final hunt has begun. Players have already taken their seats. Among the contenders are APT regulars Seongsu Kong and Daewoong Song. Kong has multiple APT titles however the Main Event has continued to elude him. As for the latter Song, he was one of Day 2’s biggest movers, racing from 101st rank to 4th in chips. Other back end players reaching the final two tables were Kyoseong Yoon who came from 113th rank and Taeho Kang from 111th rank. Maintaining their big stacks were Moses Jang and Inho Song, both players were in the top 5 entering Day 2. Prize pool and payouts to be announced. Good luck to all the players!
