Ori Kossonogi bags APT Championships Event Day 1A chip lead; Chia Hui Tu wins the NLH Single Day Event

APT Taiwan 2021 lit up the CTP Club Taipei (Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association) on Thursday, March 4 with a couple events on tap. The main attraction was the featured CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT NT$ 2M guaranteed. Day 1A closed with Israel’s Ori Kossonogi leading the 13 survivors. Also on the felt was the NLH Single Day with Chia Hui Tu closing it out for his first ever career victory. Recaps below. 

CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT – Day 1A

Day 1A of the CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT drew 21 entrants and after eight levels of play, only 13 survived. Among them were Taiwanese pros Yen Han “Pete” Chen (APT 2020 Online Series 2nd Edition Championships Event winner) and Chen An Lin however bagging the lead was Israel’s Ori Kossonogi with 192,900 in chips. The qualifiers have a day break before returning to action on Saturday, March 6 for Day 2.

If you haven’t secured your Day 2 seat, there’s no time to waste. Only one starting day remains. Day 1B action takes place on Friday, March 5. Registration stays open all day. Event #9: NLH Single Day Event – CHIA HUI TU – NT$ 68,300 (~US$ 2,450)

The lone side game scheduled was the NLH Single Day Event where 24 battled it out for the ninth APT side trophy of the series. In the end it was Taiwan’s Chia Hui Tu going the distance for NT$ 68,300 (~US$ 2,450) and his first ever APT victory.
