First to the money was YueFei rivered by Flight D chip leader – itrguy – in 188th place. itrguy went on to cash in 38th place.
When the field trimmed down to 20 players, Turbo Pete railed player Yummers to maintain his spot among the top 10 leaders.
As the final table neared, Flight B chip leader – Fireburns – attempted a steal from the button but found the rail instead with HumanAI successfully defending the big blind. Out next was player Punnat pushing with A♠ 9♣ only to run straight into JustFishing‘s A♣ A♥. After HorseAlmighty finished off MaiPenRai, Turbo Pete denied HumanAI in 10th place with a straight besting top pair that missed the flush draw.
At a separate table, Ike220 fell simultaneously and the final table was formed with 8 remaining. Parked up top was player pekarinu, having claimed the kingly position since 33 remaining.
The final table was heavily dominated by Lester Edoc username mon$terDad who railed half the field. mon$terDad delivered two quick knock outs – nine songs (8th) and LongBTC (7th). Turbo Pete dusted the next one, sending JustFishing out in 6th place, then benbenbigalo (5th) joined the railbirds denied by HorseAlmighty. After several exchanges, Turbo Pete survived an all in against HorseAlmighty who then proceeded to crash at the hands of mon$terDad. Heads up came when mon$terDad claimed his fourth victim, railing pekarinu in 3rd place.
Despite the number of players mon$terDad downed, and despite entering heads up with a sizable chip advantage, closing it out proved tough. Turbo Pete caught a lucky river card to avoid the rail, and in turn, steal the lead.
From there, the chip lead bounced back and forth, disloyal to both players. Under his leadership, Turbo Pete widened the gap on a failed bluff attempt by mon$terDad. The final hand soon arrived with Turbo Pete catching the river once again. mon$terDad shoved on a flop 8♣ K♣ 3♦, Turbo Pete called with 9♣ 7♣ draw. mon$terDad had A♠ A♦ overpair. The turn was 4♦ and river 10♣ for the winning flush and the whole shebang.
