MAIN EVENT: Kwok Luen Hei bags the largest at Day 1B; chip counts inside; Day 1C up next

APT Kick-off Vietnam got busy with Day 1B of the VND 8 billion guaranteed MAIN EVENT at partner venue Pro Poker Club. Registration stayed open all day. After nine rounds, 67 was the tally with 31 surviving. Among them were APT decorated champion Tetsuya Tsuchikawa bagging up a respectable 71,500 in chips and series Kick-off winner Kovantsev Viacheslov with 102,800, Deserving the highest recognition was Kwok Luen Hei for his kingly stack of 128,800. 

All qualifiers have a one day break before they return for Day 2 on Wednesday, January 15 at 1pm. While they wait, Day 1C – the last starting day offered- gets underway on Tuesday, January 14. Buy-in is VND 22,000,000 (~US$ 950). To avail of the fantastic Bubble Protection incentive, entering players need to make sure to have their chips in play by the first deal of Level 1 at 1pm. Players that have already qualified to Day 2 but with short stacks may attempt for multiple stacks however only the player’s best stack advances.
