No Limit Hold’em Single Day: HIEU NGO
80 runners took the races for the No Limit Hold’em Single Day event and with each one contributing the VND 8,80,000 entry fee it created a prize pool worth VND 620,800,000 (~USD 26,700). Only 14 got paid. Overcoming a final table dominated by Koreans was Vietnam’s own Hieu Ngo. He defeated Jaeho Lee at heads up to pocket the VND 168,610,000 (~USD 7,200) first place purse.

The WeLoveSport Super Deep Stack Turbo event filled up part of the room with 72 pulling up seats at VND 7,700,000 each. Out of the VND 488,880,000 (~USD 21,100) prize pool, 12 players walked away with winnings. Rising to victory to claim his first-ever APT trophy was Philippe Ma after getting the best of Bien Duc Nguyen at heads up. Ma earned VND 138,200,000 (~USD 6,000) for his victory.

The lowest buy-in tournament for players to try to win a trophy was the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo. At VNd 5,500,000, 54 turned up for a prize pool of VND 261,900,000 (~USD 11,300). It was a mad rush to the finish with the event completing in just over five hours. China’s Yuwen Pan shipped it to capture his first-ever APT trophy along with the VND 79,580,000 (~USD 3,400) first prize.
