If you haven’t qualified yet then the Championships Event is the one to enter. This is our second featured event and it comes with a TWD 6,000,000 (~USD 195,000) guarantee. It is on Day 1B, the last starting day to enter. Registration is at 1pm and will stay open all day. Buy-in is TWD 49,500 (~USD 1,600).

No Limit Hold’em Single Day: Choy Wai Tak steals the win
Last night, one side event ran simultaneously with the APT Taiwan 2019 featured tournament. 68 runners signed up to the No Limit Hold’em Single Day and at TWD 7,700 (~USD 250) buy-in, it created a pot worth TWD 461,700 (~USD 15,000). 12 players earned with Hong Kong’s Choy Wai Tak stealing the win to pocket TWD 130,700 (~USD 4,200).
Prior to Choy’s victory, the money flowed when Shojiro Izutsu railed short stacked Anthony Hope on the bubble. From the small blind, Hope pushed with K♠ 9♠ but big blind Izutsu woke up with 10♦ 10♥ for the instant call. The board ran A♠ 3♣ Q♠ for a flush draw to Hope but it didn’t materialize on the turn 5♣ and river 2♥.
Fast eliminations followed and soon it was heads up between Choy and Chee Seng Lim. Choy was behind in the count but a lucky double up switched them up. It was all in at the flop Q♠ 3♠ J♠, Choy Q♦ 4♣, Lim with A♠ Q♥. Choy started packing up at turn 8♦ but when the river landed 4♥, he sat back down to arrange his double up stack. The final hand arrived with Choy ahead Q♥ Q♦, Lim had K♠ 9♠, the board ran clean for Choy to ship it.
