Welcome to APT Philippines II 2019

Time for another Asian Poker Tour series! Good morning players and welcome to APT Philippines II 2019!

The tour is back on home turf ready to flood you with a mountain of exciting events to conquer. Php 24 million (~USD 460,000) in guaranteed prizes awaits. This is our eighth festival of the year running from today September 11 to 22 at long time partner and host venue Resorts World Manila. Event takes place at a new location on the RWM premises. We are located on the 2nd floor of the new Grand Wing adjacent to the Sheraton and Hilton hotels.

As we enter the last quarter of the year, we lightly reflect on what has passed. 2019 has shaped up to be the APT’s biggest year yet with 7 festivals served, 3 on the way, and one kicking off today. New stops were added – Taiwan and Japan -, contracts extended with existing partners, guarantees for all our featured tournaments, and more than USD 9.2 million in prizes awarded.

Over the next twelve days, our latest edition of APT Philippines will fill everyone’s poker needs. Highlighted tournaments are the Php 55,000 buyin Main Event and the Php 82,500 buyin Championships Event. These are the events to crush. Both are loaded with a Php 10,000,000 (~USD 191,500) guarantee. If history is an indicator of what’s to come, then it is very likely those guarantees will be surpassed. Champions of these events win the APT Championship Trophy, APT Championship Ring, and sizable cash prizes.

Running alongside the star attractions are 21 APT custom crafted side events with buy-ins catered to every type of player. The games range from Php 5,500 (~USD 110) to Php 107,500 (~USD 2,050). The costliest of the bunch are the High Rollers events with six scheduled.

For players new to the tour, there are several things to be aware of. All APT events utilize the Ante Big Blind format and the Shot Clock. Additionally, all events earn you points towards the APT Player of the Series race. This is the tour’s most distinguished title. At the end of the festival, the top three players in points earn special prizes with the highest awarded the APT POS Trophy, customized APT POS Ring, an exclusive watch, and USD 800. If anyone is need of accommodations, the APT offers special players rates via our booking partner, PokerTourBookings.com. Hotels offered are within the Resorts World Manila complex and are walking distance to the venue. For those flying in to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 and 2, the venue is just a short ride away. For those flying in to Terminal 3, the venue is across the street. You can either take the red shuttle bus located at the arrivals area or the walking bridge. There are also taxis available and a Grab booth if you prefer.

With that said, let’s take a look at what’s ahead. For the full schedule and other FAQs, head to APT Philippines 2019.
