The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Korean Mind Game Member (KMGM), a company that operates poker rooms in South Korea. As one of APT’s partners in Korea, KMGM will provide Korean players the opportunity to take part in APT events. The agreement will start from the upcoming APT Philippines 2019 Event in September up to the APT Finale Taiwan Event in November 2019.
“Poker is an exciting game that is considered a mind sport because of the skill it requires to play the game. Poker tournaments in the United States have been around for 50 years and is the second most popular sport after football. Due to it’s popularity, poker tournaments are also broadcasted on TV and in most countries around the world, poker is recognized as a legitimate sport. KMGM was created to bring that same mentality to Korea and to broaden the skills of the Korean players by qualifying them to international events such as the APT,” stated KMGM CEO Lee Seok Young.
Lee Seok Young aka “Tiger Lee” has won his first international poker award from the last APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Vietnam held at Pro Poker Club, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam from July 3 to 14, 2019. “We will continue to participate in APT Events and hope that members get more titles,” he expressed.
