The Asian Poker Tour (APT) returns to one of its most popular venues, Resorts World Manila (RWM), this month for the APT Philippines Championships 2018 with a number of poker’s heavy-hitters already confirming attendance.
Here’s a sneak peek of who we will see on the felt…
Starting off the list is first ever two-time APT Main Event Champion Henrik Tollefsen along with the Philippines’ Mike Takayama who has also won 2 APT Main Events and is currently on fire in the Asian poker circuit. Also, fresh from representing the local poker community during the recently concluded APT Kickoff Vietnam 2018, two of Vietnam’s top players Huu Dung Nguyen and Ha Duong who are Championships and Main Event champions respectively.
Last year’s event saw more than a hundred Japanese players walk through the door and we look forward to welcoming them back. Of course part of Team Japan’s roster would be the familiar names of Gerard Bringley, Yoichi Uesugi, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa, Yoichi Fujiya, Iori Yogo and one of its most decorated players – Natural8’s Kosei Ichinose.
While from the far side of Asia and representing the burgeoning Indian poker community are Zarvan Tumboli and Kunal Patni of Adda52.
Joining them would be highly recognized names in the poker community such as five-time APT Player of the Year Sam Razavi; Natural8’s Victor Chong; Jim Bonanno from Guam; Michael Falcon from Denmark; Norway’s Kai Paulsen and carrying the Philippine flag would be John Tech, Czardy Rivera and Lester Edoc.
