Weekend begins with the Head Hunter, Ladies event, and OFC Pineapple High Roller

It’s the start of the weekend and the place to be is right here at the Asian Poker Tour Philippines III 2016. Today will see another three side events taking center stage at the poker room of Resorts World Manila. Also on the floor is the final day of the Battle of the Nations event.

The day kicks off at 1pm with a crowd favorite, the Head Hunter 100/Bounty event. Players have always been drawn to this event due to the immediate cash reward upon every head delivered. Action is usually fast and fierce with players challenged at every hand. Buy-in is USD 440.

Shortly after, the floor makes way for some female action with the Ladies of Poker event up at 130pm. This event has been dominated by Filipino player Ferlyn Cabaling with six titles already earned. She won the previous installment of this event in the series while the first one was claimed by Filipino player Gia Guison. Buy-in for this event is USD 165.

At 2pm, the High Roller Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout 12 Max adds some variety to the felt. Since its introduction to the roster last year, this event has grown on many players and has developed quite a niche following. Entry fee is USD 1,100. The previous winners of this event were Filipino Frederic Dimayuga and Korea’s John Kim.

There will also be two satellite events to get into the Main Event for cheap, the Main Event Super Satellite w/Re-Buys + 1 Add-on and the Main Event Mega Satellite. The former begins at 3pm with a buy-in of USD 55 while the latter begins at 6pm with a buy-in of USD 180.
