APT Manila 2016 in Early October

Mark your calendars because right after the APT Poker Cruise 2016 is the next Asian Poker Tour event of the year, the APT Manila 2016. Scheduled to run from October 4-12, 2016, this upcoming nine-day festival will take place at the APT Poker Room located in the Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel & Casino in Ermita, Manila, Philippines.

Dedicated to providing exciting poker events throughout the year, the APT Manila 2016 brings eighteen APT signature side events, and of course, the highly lucrative Main Event.

The Main Event is the highlight tournament of the APT Manila 2016, and it is the only event where you can win an APT Championship Ring. Designed to accommodate the weekend warriors, the Main Event will hold its Day one flights on Friday, October 7th, and Saturday, October 8th. The Main Event will run for a total of five days, with the Final 8 on Tuesday, October 11th. Buy-in is PhP55,000.

In addition to the Main Event, Side Events have been the draw for many players. With varying structures and varied buy-ins ranging from PhP5,500-PhP108,000, there is something for everyone. Here are the side events to look forward to at the APT Manila 2016:

• Welcome Event PhP1,000,000 Guaranteed – this is one the most popular events on the schedule with players gunning for a nice early payout to bump up their bankroll. As usual, this is a two-day event with the two starting flights held on opening day.
• The NLH 50K Challenge is the newest event on the lineup. The structure mimics the High Rollers event but for half the price.
• Other popular NLH games on the roster are the Head Hunter PhP4,000 Bounty, the Monster Stack, the No Limit Holdem 1 Day event, several Deep Stack Turbo events, and the 6 Handed Turbo w/Antes.
• There are also customized fun-filled events such as the Battle of the Nations, the Ante Up for Charity, the Ante Only, and the Ladies of Poker.
• For players looking for a smaller field yet with a larger prize pool, there is a High Rollers event with a buy-in of PhP108,000.
• The festival also offers games other than Hold’em, there is the Pot Limit Omaha Hi event and the Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout 24 Max.
• Every night leading up to the Main Event, there will be a Main Event Mega Satellite for players looking to win a seat at a discounted price.
