Back in April, the Asian Poker Tour released several event dates confirmed for their 2016 calendar year. Among them was the APT Poker Weekend Series Manila 2016 running for five days in August at the APT Poker Room hub located inside the Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel and Casino. Just last week, the APT got the thumbs up to extend the festival to a full blown nine day schedule, and are thrilled to announce the revised dates of August 9-17, 2016.
The APT Poker Weekend Series 2016 kicks off less than two weeks after the conclusion of the currently ongoing APT Philippines 2016 II. The festival will feature a total of 15 side events with the highly popular Welcome Event PHP1,000,000 Guaranteed paving the way. Players may notice that some of the usual events have been omitted from the roster, such as the Battle of the Nations event and the Ladies of Poker, however a highly lucrative event has been added to the tail end of the festival, the NLH P500,000 Guaranteed. Similar to the opener in structure and format, this will be a two-day event with both qualifying flights held on the first day.
At the start of the week, the series will offer a variety of poker side event favorites such as the No Limit Hold’em, the Head Hunter event, and the High Rollers, all of them warming you up for what’s in store for the weekend, the APT Poker Weekend Series Manila Main Event. With both day one flights running on the weekend, Friday and Saturday, this is definitely a great event for all those weekend warriors looking to get in the APT poker action for a few days. Buy-in for the main attraction is P27,500.
Also on the weekend are the Pot Limit Omaha Hi, the Monster Stack, and a couple of fun Deep Stack Turbo events. For players going the full distance at the series, the weekday grind will see an Open Face Chinese Pineapple event and the short-handed 6 Handed Turbo w/Antes event.
With the festival peeking right around the corner, it is time to start marking your calendars and booking your hotel accommodations with special APT Player rates available starting at P3,000 net. For more information, head to the APT Poker Weekend Series 2016 page.
