The Asian Poker Tour waves in the weekend at Queenco Hotel & Casino in Sihanoukville, Cambodia with more festivities by the beach at the APT Cambodia 2016. Setting the tone for a great day of Friday poker sunshine is the highly popular Head Hunter event and the High Roller Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout (12 max).
With the Head Hunter first at bat, heads will surely be cracking and rolling with a bounty of $100 for each one served. The entry fee is $440 which includes a starting stack of 10,000 with blinds increasing every half an hour. Event begins at 1pm.
At 130pm, the High Roller OFC Pineapple Shootout (12 max) shakes up the floor for some variety. This game has become one of the most requested games at the APT since its inception last year. Buy-in for this event is at $1100.
For players looking to get in the Main Event cheap, there will be two satellites offered today, one at 3pm and another at 6pm.
At yesterday’s events, the APT was joined by Sabina Brevova, Project Manager of House of Family, to claim the KHR2,400,000 check, raised during the APT’s Ante Up for Charity event. House of Family – A comprehensive project for children in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, Cambodia – intends to use the funds towards education of Information Technology for the children.
Last night also saw Norway’s Kai Paulsen win the No Limit Hold ‘em 1 event while the Pot Limit Omaha High Rollers event wrapped up with three players left in the field, and is scheduled to finish up today. With more events lined up in the coming days, more trophies and APT Player of the Year 2016 points are ripe for the picking.
