The Asian Poker Tour Cambodia 2016 continues to heat up the shoreline of Queenco Hotel & Casino in Sihanoukville, Cambodia with two side events on the roster today, namely, the No Limit Hold ‘em 1 and the Pot Limit Omaha High Rollers.
The first event, the No Limit Hold ‘em 1, takes place at 1pm. The buy-in for this event is at $330 with unlimited re-entries until the end of round six. Players can enjoy a healthy starting stack of 10,000 chips, that’s two hundred times the starting big blind. The levels increase every thirty minutes.
The next event, the Pot Limit Omaha High Rollers event sets its sails at 2pm. The entry fee for this event is $1100 with a deep starting stack of 80,000 chips. The blinds increase every 40 minutes with re-entries open until the end of round six.
Yesterday saw two players already bag a trophy each, Japan’s Iori Yogo and USA’s Michael Edward Maas. Yogo won the Opening Event and Maas took down the Ante Up for Charity event.
We are only on the second day of the APT’s mid-year festival which means more exciting poker events are scheduled for the coming days. In addition, big changes have taken place at Sihanoukville since the APT was last here with the host venue, Queenco Hotel & Casino now fully renovated. There is a fully functioning and well-stocked gym that everyone is raving about and a swimming pool overlooking the Gulf of Thailand with its waves washing up on the shores of Victory Beach. Hotel rooms are also at a steal, $50/night for a deluxe room for returning APT guests and $55/night for a superior room for first-time visitors. The hotel also offers a free round-trip ride from the Phnom Penh International Airport to Queenco Hotel and back.
The weekend is upon us so head on over to APT Cambodia 2016 for some fun at the felt and some sun by the seaside. For more information on the APT Cambodia 2016, head to the website.
