HomeWe are into the third day of the nine-day Asian Poker Tour Cebu 2016 poker festival in partnership with the All In Poker Club at the Waterfront Lahug Hotel and Casino in Cebu City. The past two days saw several trophies make their way to new victors with more yet to be awarded.
Today will see three side events heat up the tournament area plus a couple of satellites later in the day. At 1pm is the Head Hunter P4,000 Bounty tournament with a buy-in of P17,600. This is one of the most popular events on the APT roster with lots of wild poker action at every table with players looking to scalp one another as early as possible. At 1:30pm is the Ladies of Poker event. This event has a P5,500 entry fee. With a good number of ladies having already participated in the past two days, we hope to see a good turnout for this event.
At 2pm begins the High Roller Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout 12 Max event. This event was first held in Manila during the APT Finale, and again at the APT Kickoff 2016, however it will be its first appearance in Cebu. Without a doubt, previous champion, Korea’s Sim Jae Kyung aka Simba, will surely be trying to go for a repeat. Early registration is available for this event. No late registration and no re-entry allowed.
At 3pm we will be having another Main Event Super Satellite w/ Re-buys and 1 Add-On, and at 6pm the Main Event Mega Satellite. Yesterday saw four players win seats to the Main Event.
Meanwhile, the awarding of P100,000 worth of charity check from the Ante Up for Charity event was held today. Cebu City Task Force on street children was thankful to all the players who joined the event.
