The APT Asian Poker Series Manila 2015 Main Event opens play Friday at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, Philippines. Two other side events are also on tap today with the continuation of the final eight in the Head Hunter event and the Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout scheduled.
Day 1A of the main event is set at 1:00 PM and one of the three starting days for the highlight tournament this week with Day 1B set on Saturday (Oct. 3) and Day 1C on Sunday (Oct. 4).
Around the same time last year, Mike Takayama from the Philippines won the APT Asian Poker Series title over a field of 365 entries. A similar number is expected to play in this main event and Takayama along with other local and international pros including the like of Sam Razavi, Henrik Tollefsen, Kai Paulsen, Jim Bonanno, Bryan Huang, Andrew Gaw, Thomas Ward, Florencio Campomanes, SJ Kim, Linh Tran and Azusa Maeda, among many others, are pegged to join action on the felt either today or this weekend.
