Cebuano Kim Enriquez Tows 63 Runners To Day 2 of 1M Guaranteed; Charity Event on Tap Today

Kim Enriquez, a local bet from Cebu, topped the field after the first day of the 1M Guaranteed Opening Event of the APT Asian Poker Series Cebu 2015.

The Cebuano, along with 62 others, retakes the felt for Day 2 of the first side event for this APT stop even as two more side events—the NLH Re-Buy and Add-On and Ante Up for Charity events– are on schedule Wednesday (August 12) at the All In Poker Club located at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino Lahug in Cebu, Philippines.

The nine-day poker festivities is set from August 11 to 19 with more side events plus the highlight main event scheduled later this week.

Enriquez, who hauled in 163,2000 in chips and a few others with a big stack—United States’ Marv Damon (156,900) and Martin Corpuz (142,500), France’s Robin Caprin (154,700) and Philippines’ Angel Kabigting (136,100) are all poised to reach the money round (27 places in the money) or even the APT side event title worth PHP 419,600, a lion’s share of the total prize pool of PHP 1.677M which broke the million peso guarantee easily.

Day 2 of the 1M Guaranteed is set at 1:30 PM with the NLH RB+AO (PHP 3,300) and Charity (PHP 7,500) events set at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, respectively.

A third of the buy-in/prize pool in the charity event will be donated to the Cebu City Task Force on Street Children, a non-profit organization that provides educational and residential assistance to Cebu City’s street children.
