Chips are shuffling! Tables are in full swing! We are back at Ho Tram Resort Casino for Day 2 of the APT Vietnam Main Event where 60 players aim to bag as many chips as possible and qualify into Day 3. The overall chip leader is Hong Kong player Kwan Kit Kwok with 107,825 chips. Kwok is joined by another big stack at his table, Hendrik Appel from South Africa with 92,900, and Casey Kastle from Slovenia with 70,700 chips.
In another table, second-in-chip command, Marc Joseph from South Africa with 105,750 chips, is getting his first look at Peter Nguyen who is sitting to his immediate left with 92,725 chips. And David Steicke, the player from Hong Kong with 97,800, dominates his table with a massive arsenal. He will surely be looking to clear out some those short stacks early in the game.
The APT Vietnam Main Event saw a total of 119 entries pony up $1,100 bringing the prize pool to $115,400. We will close the day when the bubble bursts. Only 18 players will move on. Good luck to all the qualifiers! For some of the action happening here at Day 2, head to the Live Reporting section.
