With APT Philippines 2010 closing in fast, Manila is buzzing with poker activities. This weekend alone, poker rooms all over the city are giving players chances to win their very own main event seats.
Four tournaments, all cramped for the weekend’s schedule, are giving out seats to the much awaited APT Philippines Main Event: the TPC Mother Board’s Midas Touch Leg, the Metro Card Club 1.5M Guaranteed event, the RWM Satellite Series #5, and the Let’s All-in Poker Sports Club APT Tournament.
The first starting day of the TPC Motherboard’s Midas Touch leg is happening at 5pm today, August 13th. Days 1B and 1C will then follow on the 14th and the 15th, respectively, at 2pm. The event, culminating on the 16th with Semi Finals scheduled at 1pm, is set with a buy in of PhP 5,000 + 400 for a guaranteed prize pool of PhP 3 Million and chance at grabbing one of at least twelve APT Philippines Main Event seats to be given away.
The Metro Card Club 1.5M Guaranteed event kicked off last August 12 at an affordable buy in of PhP 3,000. Day 1B is scheduled later (August 13) and Day 2 is up on the 14th, both at 3pm. The final table is laid on August 15 for 4 seats to the APT Tournament and Php1,000,000 worth of cash guaranteed.
Over at Resorts World Manila (RWM), regulars can exchange 5000 player points instead of having to buy in for PhP 5,000 to join the RWM Satellite Series #5. A prize pool of PhP 500,000, a seat to APT Philippines Main Event, and 4 seats to RWM Satellite Series Finale await players winning on the 15th at 2pm.
On the other end of Pasay City, the remaining 10 players from their Daily 30k Guaranteed Tournament are given seats to the Let’s All-in Poker Sports Club tournament on August 15 (8pm) for an APT Main Event seat.
APT Philippines 2010 is coming to Resorts World Manila on August 23 and will be filled with events until August 29.
