Day 1B of the APT Poker Room Manila Inaugural Tournament is well underway at the Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel with lots of poker action and chip shuffling all around the room.
At the start of the day, players filled the tables quickly and by the end of the third level, 111 entries were already in record and climbing. With this number of entries so far, the total cash prize pool bumped up over PHP300,000, and with late registration and re-entries still open for another three levels, that number will certainly increase for a sweet and sizable pot to commemorate this inaugural event.
TD Lloyd Fontillas had this to say about today’s numbers, “We are glad to see players come out and get a feel of what APT is working towards. We offer an affordable tournament combined with the APT structure, and are very ecstatic to have attracted many players, both familiar and new.”
Seen at the felt early was the APT 2014 POY winner Samad Razavi who was unable to qualify yesterday, APT 2011 Asian Series Main Event champion Vic De Guzman, APT 2011 Asian Series Cebu Main Event champion Jessie Leonarez, APT Manila 2014 Main Event final tableist Emmanuel Imperial, plus other well known players, Martin Corpuz, Emmanuel Segismundo, Kristian Faering, Ronaldo Dimaano, and re-entry player Richard Marquez. There is also a big turnout of Korean players at the felt.
Good luck to everybody!
