Hopefuls wanting a shot at poker glory gets their one last shot today in Day 1C, the final starting day for the APT Asian Poker Series Cebu 2015 Main Event at the All In Poker Sports Club in Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu City, Philippines. A total of 57 players have survived from Day 1A and Day 1B the last two days, more will follow and try to qualify for the next round after eight levels of play today.
The bulk of the chip leaders so far have come from Day 1A with Anyang Xu of China accumulating the most chips with 85,275. Day 1B chip leader Lim Jin Wook (Korea) has 58,500 good for 10th overall. Other notable pros in the top 10 include Japanese Hideki Tajafuji with 79,675 and Tsuji Yasuyuki with 70,275. Some popular players and familiar faces are also near the top like John Tech (Philippines) with 57,500; Tetsuya Tsuchikawa (Japan); Simba (Korea) with 50,050; and Bryan Huang (Singapore) with 49,750.
Aside from Day 1C of the Main Event, two side events are on tap Sunday (February 1st) as well as the return of the final eight in the NLHE #8 event yesterday.
