High-Stakes Cebu: APT Second Day Feature High Rollers, Last 8 In NLHE #1 Returns and Chow Wins Charity Event

The second day APT Asian Poker Series Cebu 2015 continues Wednesday with another loaded schedule featuring two side events including the High Rollers event with PHP 108,000 buy-in. The nine-day poker festivities is set from January 27th to February 4th, 2015 at the All In Poker Sports Club in Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu City, Philippines

The event, the first stop of the Asian Poker Tour (APT season this year, kicked off yesterday with the Ante Up for Charity and NLHE Re-Buys + Add-On side events. The charity event, which was for the benefit of the House Hayag project, was won by Jensen Rex Chow of Philippines beating 34 others who joined the tournament for a cause.

Meanwhile, the NLHE side event attracted a total of 74 runners with 98 re-buys and 59 add-ons produced a price pool of PHP 672,200 and eight players from that tourney will be returning to aim for the top prize of PHP 186,200 for the champion. Three-time APT Player of the Year Sam Razavi of the United Kingdom is at it again early in this APT season leading the pack in the NLHE side event with 193,500 going into the final table of that event. Ricky Crandell of the United States and APT regular Tetsuya Tsuchikawa of Japan round out the top three in the last eight that features four players from the Philippines.

The charity event supported House Hayag project, an aid association by Hayag International e.V., which aims to help and support impoverished children in Cebu, the second largest city in the Philippines.

The second day in Cebu will also feature the Mix Game PLH/PLO event (PHP 11,000) set at 1:00 PM, the same re-start time for the NLHE side event #1. The high-stakes game is scheduled at 2:00 PM.
