As the race for the 2015 APT Player of the Year race kicked off at the recently concluded APT Asian Poker Series Prague, Japan’s Iori Yogo has established an early lead in the standings with two side event titles. The pole position finishes gave him a head start for the points race next year in what is shaping up to be the Asian Poker Tour’s most active year to date.
Iori has been a regular face amongst the Japanese contingent at APT events. In fact, he even cashed in five events in 2014. After winning the last side event of APT Asian Poker Series Prague, he has accumulated a total of 280 POY points. Although current APT Player of the Year Sam Razavi bubbled the last event, he still gained 50 points from playing in Prague.
