The second day of the APT-RWM Poker Finale 2014 at the Resorts World Manila (RWM) in Pasay City, Philippines dragged on to the wee hours of Friday morning as a raucous crowd representing Vietnam celebrated the victory of their compatriot Hiue Le who bagged the RWM Poker Fiesta 2M GTD title. On the same day, Sam Razavi proved his worth as the front-runner for the APT Player of the Year race by winning the Ante Up for Charity Event even as Slade Fisher bagged the Pot Limit Omaha Hi event.

On tap at 2:00 PM is the continuation of the High Rollers event with PHP 108,000 with eight players still in the running from the original 35 entries who joined the high-stakes tourney with a total prize pool of roughly PHP 3.3M. The High Rollers final eight aim for at least a spot inside the Top 5 in the money and the champion’s purse of PHP 1.32M.
Douglas Olsson from Sweden and John Tech from the Philippines enter the High Rollers Final Day as the chip leaders with 207,000 and 196,500, respectively. The trio of Katsuhiro Muto (Japan) with 111,500; Eemil Tuominen (Finland) with 107,500; and Yo Doi (Japan) with 93,000 have more than playable stacks while Sam Nee Aik Chuan (Malaysia) with 59,000; Jay Tolon (Philippines) with 45,500 and Andrew Nguyen (USA) 34,500 will try to survive and double-up early.
Also crowned late Friday (or early Saturday) are the champions for the Head Hunter (with PHP 16,500 buy-in) and Open Face Chinese Pineapple (with PHP 8,800 buy-in) tourneys scheduled to start at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, respectively. “One Hand” satellites to the APT-RWM Poker Finale Main Event, which starts on Saturday (December 6) and Sunday (December 7), are also available all-day long.
