Head Hunter event attracts 103 entries
The Head Hunter event with a $220 buy-in started at 1:00 p.m. on Friday and as usual the poker enthusiasts came in droves to play. The bounty-flavored tournament attracted 103 entries which more than doubled the number of the same tournament held two years ago.
High Rollers champion Daichi Tominaga receives his trophy from the APT’s Raymund Gamier
As the players took the felt during the middle of day three of the poker festivities, Daichi Tominaga – the newest APT champion, received his trophy for winning the High Rollers event along with the US$ 24,000 prize.
Currently leading the 2014 APT Player of the Year race is Euryd Rivera
While in the APT Player of the Year race, Euryd Rivera still holds top spot but there has been some movement from second to fourth place. Jae Chul Chang is now a close second, trailing by 30.45 points. Feng Zhao has moved up to third and Azusa Maeda has moved down to fourth. And also trying to make a run to the top of the standings, back-to-back APT Player of the Year Sam Razavi. With these five players present in Cambodia, the race looks to heat up in the coming days.
