The Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2014 season kicks off Wednesday afternoon at the All-In Poker Club in Waterfront Hotel and Casino Lahug in Cebu, Philippines for the start of the popular APT Asian Series Cebu 2014, an eight day-long poker festival featuring 15 events including the main event set from February 15th to 19th, 2014.
Jeff Mann, Chief Executive Officer of the APT is once again very excited for Asia’s most prestigious poker tour’s return to this vibrant city south of the Philippines.
“The Asian Poker Tour has been here since 2011 and we kept coming back for obvious reasons. First and foremost, there has always been a great turnout in all of the events and second, for the good and friendly people here including the staff and management of the All in Poker Club,” shared Mann.
“We’re also very proud and happy with our multiple sponsors this year– DafaPoker, MegaSportsWorld, WeLoveSports and FulPot Poker, which is joining us for the very first time. Obviously, we are positive that all events will draw a large crowd this year and we’re glad to share that success with our sponsors here in Cebu.”
DafaPoker will sponsor two side events—the Head Hunter and Pot Limit Omaha Hi events on February 14th (Friday) and 16th (Sunday); FulPot Poker No Limit Hold’em on February 17th (Monday); MegaSportsWorld Deep Stack Turbo on February 18th (Tuesday); and the WeLoveSport 6-Handed on February 19th (Wednesday).
The opening day of the APT action in Cebu includes the first side event NLH Re-buy + 1 Add-On with PHP 3,300 buy-in. Two satellite tourneys to the main event are set at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and the Ante Up for Charity, where a third of the prize pool goes to a foundation for a good cause is set at 7:00 p.m.
