Halfway Into History: 48 Left in Iron Man Poker Challenge

Midway into what could be a record-breaking event, 48 players from the original 115-player field are left standing in the APT-RWM Iron Man Poker Challenge here at Level 2 Premier Club of Resorts World Manila.

While some are just half-awake, all of them are fully aware that they still have a chance to take down the title worth $18,240, a lion’s share of the total prize pool of $71,400; and more importantly, the probability of being recognized as poker’s Iron Man and world record-holder.

The target for these sleep-deprived poker pros is the current Guinness World RecordsLongest Continuous Poker Tournament”, which stands at 36 hours, 34 minutes and 41 seconds. For the record to be broken, at least two of the forty-eight should be playing until Sunday, December 15th at 8:34:41 a.m.
