Day 2 of the APT Asian Series Cebu Main Event came to a close when eventual chip leader South Korea’s Jeon Seung Soo burst the bubble when his pocket queens took out Ben Abraham‘s pocket nines.
The Korean was in the middle of the pack (41,200 – 20th) at the start of Day 2 but stacked up his chips all day long and is now up to 430,000 going into Day 3 of the Main Event with a PHP 50,000 buy-in. Erstwhile chip leaders Edwin Marzan (led Day 1B) and Timofei Levanov (led Day 1A) are still in the running landing 5th and 6th respectively. The last 18 players, who are now all in the money, will play down to the 8-handed Final Table set Wednesday.
