Marc Rivera is a Filipino poker pro who plays some of the biggest cash games in the Philippines. Since Asian Poker Tour’s debut in the Philippines, Marc has been a familiar face at all stops around Asia. Marc’s most recent poker achievement was winning one of the Deep Stack Turbo events at APT Macau 2012 where he cashed for US$12,572. During APT Philippines 2012 Marc also won the Pot Limit Omaha Event along with final table cashes in two other events.
With the upcoming APT Asian Series event happening in Manila, Marc will be the home court favourite in the race to be the first ever APT Player of the Year. With 573 points, ranking 4th, he is in a strong position to take down the APT POY 2012 along with the US$8000 package of buy-ins for the winner. With three APT events still to go this year: Manila, Cambodia and India the APT Player of the Year race is still wide open and certainly may go to the wire. With the top 10 players being within 1 title away to gain pole position.
