The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau Main Event final table is set after an action-packed Day 3. In the chip lead is DafaPoker Ambassador Richard Zhu who will take a 754,000 stack with him when play resumes today.
Zhu is one of six players left in the tournament who are either from China, Hong Kong or Taiwan. The second biggest stack is none other than Team Poker King Club player Winfred Yu who is also a well-known high stakes player and will be looking to win his first major tournament title.
China’s Ai Min Zhang holds onto the third biggest stack after an exciting double elimination on the final table bubble. Zhang had both players just covered and his pocket tens were up against pocket sevens and a dominating pocket aces while all in preflop. Zhang needed help and found it courtesy of a ten on the turn to win a massive pot and stop play for the night.
England’s Sam Razavi and Sweden’s Martin Nilsson are no strangers to APT Main Event final tables. Earlier in the year, Razavi finished runner-up in the APT Asian Series Cebu Main Event and, just two months ago, Nilsson claimed the APT Asian Series Goa title. Both Razavi and Nilsson will carry short stacks into today’s final table and will need to double early if they are to go all the way.
