Day 1B of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau HKD $25,000 buy-in Main Event saw 166 players take their seats, which swelled the total amount of entries to 268. On offer for the tournament’s champion is a whopping HKD $1,913,200 (USD $246,625) and, after yesterday’s action, Singapore’ Fam Kai Yat is currently the best placed player to take it down.
With 100,675 in chips, Yat’s 100,675 stack is the only one above six-figures. Japan’s Yu Kurita ended the day as the best placed female player on 41,075. Others to build a solid chip count included Sparrow Cheung (54,925), Nick Wong (56,525), Sebastian Clot (36,650), Adam Monaghan (36,450) and Antonio Martins (30,625). While Joe Hachem, DafaPoker Ambassador Richard Zhu and Celina Lin will play catch up on Day 2 with 16,000, 10,500 and 6,525 respectively.
Failing to make it through Day 1B were Martin Elliot, Roger Spets, Wally Sombero, Andrew Scott, Ben Abrahams and Conrad Coetzer.
