Winfred Yu has been playing poker for more than a decade and is the business director of the Poker King Club located in Macau’s StarWorld Hotel. As such, there can no doubt that he knows the ins and outs of poker rather well. Yu has been known to play all over Asia and has even sat down on the biggest cash games that Macau has to offer, pitting himself against the game’s best professional players.
Originally from Canada, Yu now lives in Macau with the aim of helping poker grow exponentially in Asia. Yu’s best finish in an Asian Poker Tour tournament was 8th place in the 2009 APT Macau Main Event for USD $26,110.
The APT is set to return to Winfred’s turf on July 25, 2012 for APT Macau and is looking forward to having him join the tables there once again. Meanwhile, the next APT tournament is the APT Asian Series Cebu stop on February 1-7, 2012.
