Hailing from Hong Kong, it should come as no surprise that Nick Wong has made the biggest impact in the poker world on the tables of Macau. His successes on the felt have come mostly in High Roller events but the first big result in his poker career came in the form of a 14th in the 2009 APT Macau Main Event for HKD $101,200. Wong then backed it up in 2010 with a first place finish in the APT Macau High Rollers that netted him a whopping HKD $942,000 payday.
Though his poker career concentrates in Macau, the Asian Poker Tour is hoping to see Wong set the felt on fire in the Philippines at our Manila or Cebu stops. What’s certain is that wherever he plays, Wong will bring his formidable playing style and imposing bankroll to the table.
