The Asian Poker Tour is pleased to announce the addition of a new stop – Cambodia – to its packed 2012 poker tournament schedule. APT Asian Series Cambodia will arrive at the Las Vegas Sun Hotel and Casino on November 14-20, 2012.
APT Tournament Manager Mr. Jason Morris and Mr. Kim Ki Yeol, President of Las Vegas Sun Hotel and Casino, cemented the deal yesterday with the official contract signing in Cambodia.
Morris commented, “The APT is constantly on the lookout for new experiences to give players and new markets to promote further the growth of poker in the region. Our inaugural stop in Cambodia later this year will achieve both those goals and we’re fortunate to have found a great venue partner in the Las Vegas Sun Hotel and Casino to make it happen.”
The move will once again see the APT become market leaders as the first major international poker tour to hold a stop in Cambodia. This follows the success of last year’s historic APT Asian Series Goa that saw 158 entries in the Main Event of India’s first international poker tour tournament.
Mr. Kim added, “Having the APT here in Cambodia will do big things for the local poker scene. I’m sure our regular players will be greatly anticipating the arrival of the tournament and I’m looking forward to welcoming those international players who perhaps have never been to Cambodia before.”
