The Asian Poker Tour is proud to announce that APT Philippines 2011 champion Enrique Del Prado, Jr. will be back to defend his title at the upcoming APT Philippines 2012 Main Event.
He is looking to be a back-to-back APT champion and at 70 years of age is already the APT’s oldest Main Event winner.
Last year, Del Prado claimed the coveted title – and the USD $179,260 purse that went along with it – from a field of 231 players after defeating Hong Kong’s Elton Tsang (USD $95,230) in a grueling heads up battle.
The road to victory was anything but ordinary for Del Prado. Numerous times the Filipino called down his opponents without hitting but didn’t seem to lose a single big pot he was involved in. His style of snap-calls in almost every hand seemed to stump his opponents…

The Asian Poker Tour Philippines 2012 will be held from April 19 to 25 at the Genting Club located on the 3rd level of Resorts World Manila complex in Manila, Philippines. Registration for tournaments will be located by the Cashier Cage on the 2nd level. Buy in for the main event is set at US $2,700.
