The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is pleased to announce that Joe Hachem will soon be making his APT tournament debut as an APT Ambassador. Hachem is set to join the tables at APT Philippines, which will be hosted at Resorts World Manila on April 19-25, 2012.
Hachem is considered to be one of the top poker professionals presently competing at major international events and is Australia’s most successful and best-known poker pro. He became an official ambassador for the largest and most prestigious independent poker tour in Asia in January 2012 when it was announced he had entered into a working relationship with AsianLogic Group, owners of the APT.
APT Tournament Manager, Jason Morris, commented, “Joe Hachem is the perfect player to represent the APT and we look forward to having him join the action at APT Philippines. I’m sure the players themselves will also be glad that they will get a chance to test themselves against an opponent who already has well over USD $11 million in tournament earnings.”
APT Philippines 2012 features a USD $2700 buy-in Main Event. Last year, Filipino Enrique del Prado took home USD $179,260 after defeating Elton Tsang at heads up for the 2011 APT Philippines Main Event title. Del Prado rose to victory over a field of 231 players and, if early indications are anything to go by, that number looks destined to be broken in 2012.
