Huge Influx expected as Main Event record grows, ‘Turbo’ Side Events take flight

INCHEON CITY, Korea – A deluge of players hoping to make the cut in the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Korea Incheon 2022 Main Event is expected with the first two levels of the resumption still open for late registrants even as “Turbo” day marks the Side Events slated here at the Paradise City Hotel and Casino here.

Already eclipsing the 2019 mark with  385 entries, the late registration that is still avaiable until end of the first two levels will entice those who either busted out in earlier attempts to qualify or those who finally have the time to dive into the action starting 1:00PM (UCT+9).

The guaranteed prize pool is presently KRW746,900,000 (US$522,634) more than doubling the original guarantee of KRW300M (US$209,921).

The Japanese contingent have been very successful here thus far, capturing seven of the ten trophies and their players have been taking turns in garnering the overall chip-lead in all of the Day 1s in the Main Event. Currently Keisuke Kodama sits atop the leaderboard with  180,300 in chips.

So far 196 players have qualified for Day 2.
